SYDNEY, Nov 28 Asia Pulse - Annual headline inflation could drop below two per cent by mid-2007 as the lower cost of petrol and falls in banana prices flow through to consumer prices, a central bank official said today.
Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) head of economic analysis, Tony Richards, said consumer price index would likely ease back from its recent rate of close to four per cent as the sharp upward movements in the prices of bananas and petrol unwind.
