SYDNEY, Nov 29 Asia Pulse - The Australian dollar hit a new high for 2006 overnight, after a cloud of uncertainty around the US interest rate outlook pushed the US currency down further.
At 0845 AEDT the local unit was at 78.41 US cents, well up on yesterday's close of 77.83 US cents.
