* Under a new law signed by Governor Arnold Schwar-zennegger, athletes at California public colleges who are convicted of a violent felony will not be allowed to participate in any school sporting events until they have served their full sentences.
* The U.S. Naval Academy will use Breathalyzers and threat of expulsion to cut down on the drinking that has contributed to the school's high rate of sexual assaults.
