Opening their presentation to the Fashion Fund judges, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman read passages from Infinite Variety, Scot D. Ryersson and Michael Orlando Yaccarino's biography of Marchesa Luisa Casati, the legendary Milanese fashionista. "She was more than just an eccentric flame from another age," Chapman narrated. "She was a genuine innovator of arts and an inspiration to creative genius." As she continued describing their muse and namesake, models entered the room in dresses of comparable grandeur. There was a lavender silk gown pinned at the bust with a lifelike rose, a voluminous mini that fanned out like a giant lily turned upside down, and a metallic red cocktail look, refined with gold embroidery.
