Eighteenth-Century Women is the first instalment of a welcome and timely annual periodical. The editor, Linda Troost, describes it as the first periodical publication to 'devote itself exclusively' to the lives, work, and culture of 'women producers of knowledge', whether it be historical, philosophical, artistic, literary, musical, or scientific. Troost promises that the periodical will address the experiences of women from every social stratum and occupation.
