Seattle-based Pyramid Breweries Inc. has pulled out of negotiations to build a huge brewery and restaurant on the waterfront in Old Sacramento.

The city is now looking for some other operator to step in and develop a 12,000-square-foot restaurant on the Sacramento River.

Pyramid is the second big brewery restaurant slated for the high-profile location on the Old Sac waterfront to pull out of a deal. In June 1998, after two years of negotiations, a proposal to bring a Gordon Biersch Brewery Co. restaurant collapsed.
