Over the past two decades the concept of leadership has undergone a substantial transformation. But how far have we really come? And how much further must we go before women's traditional skills are expected of all good leaders?
While taking care of her newborn grandson, Dr. Sara Boatman, VP for student life and campus community at Nebraska Wesleyan University, had time to reflect on the path carved out by women leaders over the past 20 years. Her reflections were woven into the keynote address at the University of Nebraska's Women in Educational Leadership conference held in Lincoln in October.
