Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) today announced that the United States District Court for the Western District of New York has granted Palm's motion for summary judgment and dismissed the patent infringement lawsuit brought by Xerox Corp. against Palm and 3Com Corporation. Xerox had filed the suit in April 1997 alleging that Palm's Graffiti(R) handwriting recognition software used in Palm(TM) handhelds willfully infringed a Xerox United States patent relating to computerized interpretation of handwriting.
