Federal contractors and subcontractors will be seeing a "mandatory" survey arrive in the mail from the Office of Federal Control Compliance Programs, which enforces the federal government's affirmative action programs. The Labor and Employment News Bulletin, published by the law firm Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, notes that the survey will be used by the agency to identify noncomplying employers.

In the past, the OFCCP has used audits of individual companies to determine if they were complying with affirmative action regulations. The survey will allow the agency to increase its oversight from a few thousand employers each year to the approximately 100,000 …
