JIM SPENCER, 54, an American League first baseman from 1968 through 1982 who played for the Angels, Rangers, White Sox, Yankees and A's, on February 10 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. of an apparent heart attack. He was a member of the 1978 pennant-winning Yankees and the 1977 White Sox "South Side Hitmen" team. He hit .250 lifetime with 146 homers and 599 RBI. He stayed active in baseball after retiring in 1982, serving as an advance scout for the Yankees.
FRANK CROSETTI, 91, former shortstop and third base coach for the Yankees, on February 11 in Stockton, Calif. of complications from a fall the previous January. ...
