MIAMI BEACH -- Tension-free vaginal tape saves operating room time and money in the treatment of women with stress urinary incontinence, Dr. Briana Walton said at the annual. meeting of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
In a cost analysis of 92 women, operating room time was 90 minutes less when a tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) procedure was performed, compared with' laparoscopic Burch, said Dr. Walton of the Washington (D.C.) Hospital Center.
In addition, the average total charge for the 68 women who had TVT with or without anterior repair was significantly lower than that for the 24 women who had laparoscopic Burch with or without laparoscopic paravaginal repair ...
