SARASOTA COUNTYKathryn E. Akerman
Kathryn E. Akerman, 92, Bradenton and formerly of Sarasota, died April 3, 2000.
She was born Dec. 2, 1907, in Putnam County, Ill., and came to Bradenton in 1959 from Lake Placid.
There are no survivors.
No services are scheduled. National Cremation Society, Bradenton chapter, is in charge.
Ruby Dixon Bertini
Ruby Dixon Bertini, 98, Sarasota, died April 3, 2000.
She was born Feb. 3, 1902, in Fair Haven, Conn., and came to Sarasota in 1977 from Connecticut. She was a medical secretary. She was an Episcopalian.
Survivors include a niece, Page S. Hartling of New Britain, Conn.
Services will be private. Robarts Funeral Home is in charge.
Edward W. Burke
Edward W. Burke, 89, Sarasota, died April 4, 2000.
He was born May 28, 1910, in Chicago and came to Sarasota 32 years ago from there. He retired after 30 years from Sears, Roebuck and Co. as a credit manager. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol B. Brimstin of Chicago; and a granddaughter.
A liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Incarnation. Inurnment will be later. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.

Arthur Davis Jr.
Arthur "Art" Davis Jr., 70, Georgetown, Texas, and formerly of Venice, died March 31, 2000.
He was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Lakeland and spent his early years in Venice. He was a medical corpsman in the Navy from 1948 to 1953 and was in the Naval Reserve for several years. He retired after 38 years as a meter reader for the City of Lakeland.
He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Lakeland and the Round Rock Christian Church. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for 12 years. He was a volunteer at The Caring Place in Georgetown.
