Broadcaster and Journalist Joins PC and Console Developer
EDMONTON, Alberta, March 2 /PRNewswire/ --
BioWare Corp. today announced that Brad Grier has joined the team as Communications Manager, effective immediately. Grier's experience as a consumer technology producer, television program host, print journalist, and avid gamer give him a unique perspective on the electronic gaming industry.
"One of our priorities at BioWare is ensuring good communication with our fans, the press, and our business partners," said Ray Muzyka, Joint CEO of BioWare Corp. "We're delighted to have someone with Brad's skill and experience join our team," added Greg Zeschuk, BioWare's other Joint CEO.
Reporting directly to Muzyka and Zeschuk, Grier will head all general public relations responsibilities for BioWare Corp. His tasks include media relations, marketing management, strategic planning, public relations, promotions, and event coordination.
As a journalist, Grier maintained close ties with the PR and Marketing side of game development. "It was the best way to stay on top of the coolest games. Baldur's Gate is one of my all-time-favourite games. You wouldn't believe how excited I am to be with BioWare, the company that created Baldur's Gate and their new titles: MDK2, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, and Neverwinter Nights. As well, I am really looking forward to working with the folks at Black Isle/Interplay, the publishers of BioWare's current titles.
