TimesTen Performance Software today announced their participation in the Sun iForce initiative being launched today.
As a participant in Sun's broad based dot-com initiative, TimesTen will participate in the Sun Developer Connection(SM) Sun Startup Essentials(SM) Program. Designed to connect startups with a network of solution providers that can help them quickly establish an online presence, the Sun Startup Essentials Program offers companies access to best-in-class tools for developing their e-commerce sites.
Sun has identified TimesTen Front-Tier(TM) 1.2, the industry's first dynamic data cache, as a key element in a company's e-commerce infrastructure. Front-Tier allows companies to build highly scalable, immediately responsive, and deeply personalized e-commerce sites. TimesTen has successfully completed compatibility testing of Front-Tier 1.2 with the iPlanet(TM) (Sun Netscape Alliance) Application Server from iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions. Front-Tier 1.2 supports Oracle8 and Oracle8i back-end databases.
