(From Nottingham Evening Post)
Kris Commons scored both goals in a game last night that gave Forest their second away win in a week.
Victory at Watford last night closed the gap with fourth-bottom Coventry to just three points with a game in hand.
And it left manager Gary Megson saying Forest had given themselves a relegation lifeline.
Megson thinks teams in the relegation shake-up will now start taking notice of the Reds' recovery, which has seen them win three and draw one of their last four games.
He said: "We decided when we were nine points adrift that we had to start lighting a fire underneath the people above us.
"Everybody was looking at the table, thinking Rotherham were gone, we were gone and they were all looking to avoid just one relegation place.
