Managing a company, especially a startup, can be a very daunting task. A successful manager must do more than just deal with the business and technological aspects of the company. He/she must also be a motivator, hand-holder, PR expert, Postive Mental Attitude philosopher, handle stress, and most of all - make and implement all of the company's toughest and most heart-renching decisions.
It would take a superman to accomplish all of the above, and today's enable shows you a site that will help you become a supermanager. The site is produced by the Harvard Business School, and is specifically for managers (http://www.hbsp.harvard.edu/managers/index.html).
The following are some highlights of the key features of the site.
Test your knowledge and skills
One of the features I liked the most about the site is that it offers you a preliminary test to let you know the degree of management skills you currently have. The test is in the form of a true/false survey and is designed to measure your attitudes in relation to four essential management skills: Leadership, Managing Direct Reports' Expectations, Managing Change, and Team Building. You need to answer twenty true/false questions, and then submit your answers by clicking on the "results" button.
