One of the best summer training methods for cross country skiing is rollerskiing. While that is no epiphany, most serious cross country ski racers have a pair or two of wheeled-skis. If you have been rollerskiing as long as I have, you might remember numerous rollerski races back in the 1980s. In the Minnesota and Wisconsin area where I live, there were sometimes ten or more events per summer. As of summer 2001, only a handful of events can be found.
