Local people affected by the massive Highlands Water Scheme have lodged claims for compensation with the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA). The authority refused to divulge the details but the protestors' organisation said demands included a ten-percent share of royalties generated from the dams and a commission of inquiry into the project's impacts on local people.
