This is another DVD video release: one that requires a DVD player to work. However, the data this disc contains was in two channels only, with one playback option being PCM (at 16 bits and at a slightly higher-than-average, 48-khz sampling rate), and the other being Dolby Digital at a modest 192 kbps data rate. This means that to get surround sound you either have to opt to use Dolby Pro Logic decoding or employ some kind of DSP ambiance synthesis, just like you would if you had a standard compact disc and wanted ersatz surround sound.
