AFTER MY FIRST POETRY/MUSIC 
EVENING FOR SOME YEARS 
 
   My God! It was actually pleasant, 
   the company actually good, 
   and I left at the end of the evening 
   in an actually cheerful mood. 
 
   Pardon me if I sound amazed, 
   but the shock is still quite recent: 
   I liked the themes and the fresh young faces 
   and the old ones too were decent.
