Letters: outrageous omission. (Argus).

SIR: I wish to protest in the strongest possible terms about the offensive letter "Thirty Years in Their Teens" in the October Quadrant.

It is outrageous and insulting that the name of Australia's best-known and most prolifically creative genius, viz. me, was not included--indeed, did not lead--the list of "artists and intellectuals" cited by your correspondent. Surely even a blinkered cretin, which is what I take your correspondent to be, would be aware of my polymathic contributions to our culture--as broadcaster, media guru, founding parent of the great Australian film industry, self-promoter, socialist thinker and advertising mastermind.
