The Society of American Musicians Announces Annual Competition
The Society of American Musicians announces its seventy-seventh annual contests in Chicago, between January and April 2002.
Cash prizes and performance opportunities are offered to contestants from the Primary level (under age 10) to Young Artist level, under age 30. Divisions are violin, cello, piano, flute, voice and guitar.

Kingsville Competition Entries Now Available
The Kingsville International Young Performers Competitions and Isabele Scionti Piano Solo Competitions are scheduled for April 4-6, 2002, on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
More than $23,000 in prize money will be distributed to winners in various contests. The highest-ranking winner will receive a minimum of $5,000 in cash prizes. Contest finalists will receive performance awards with the Corpus Christi, Victoria (Texas) Symphony Orchestras and the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony. Special prizes also will be given for outstanding performances of competing instruments.
