Despite the driver shortage, pay rates are still not reflecting the high demand for good drivers, according to the latest Industrial Relations Services (IRS) Pay and Benefits Bulletin survey of drivers' pay and conditions.

'Although increasing drivers' pay may help to attract more people into what is a vital part of the UK economy, our latest survey finds that tough competitive pressures are keeping wage growth firmly in check,' said IRS.
