The Congress of SA Trade Unions on Saturday demanded a campaign to check conditions of workers in factories throughout the country and ensure that laws to protect workers were enforced. The call followed the death of two twin infants on Thursday night, who died when their mother -- who was locked up in a textile factory -- could not leave, and was forced to give birth to them in the factory.
