The National Propane Gas Association's board of directors has postponed a decision to close its offices outside Chicago and relocate to Washington, D.C. It also approved a 10 percent increase in membership dues.

The board discussed the move, which has been recommended by the association's executive committee, and approved the dues increase during its Oct. 9 meeting in Montreal. It delayed action on the move until its Feb. 10 meeting in Huntington Beach, Calif.

The association's Mike Spear said the dues increase was needed to restore earlier budget cuts in governmental affairs activities. To offset inflation, the board authorized the association's executive …
