Micronet's 3D Atelier IT Web authoring tool has been available in Japan, where the company is based, for several years. With Version 3.5, however, Micronet has begun to target English-speaking users as well. In the hopes that this new group of potential customers will be attracted by a program that allows even users who are not programmers to model, animate, render, and edit Web-ready 3D content and other kinds of interactive presentations, the company is planning for the product to go head to head with other 3D Web development tools such as Macromedia's Shockwave and Viewpoint's Web authoring technology.
