IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 2001
Mori Seiki's AZL 2400 is a 4-axis CNC lathe for the machining of aluminum wheels.
The wide-stance box-way construction and 45-degree V-slant bed make it an ideal machine for taking heavy cuts and maximum material removal. Heavy ribbed construction provides maximum rigidity and minimizes resonant vibrations. With a capacity for wheels up to 24.5", the AZL 2400's high-power integral spindle drive motor is capable of 100-hp peak and speeds of up to 3,000-rpm. The spindle assembly is precision balanced to less than 3 grams to provide the quality of finishes required for today's demanding production.
The problem of chip disposal has been eliminated due to the dual slant bed and center chip trough structure that allows the unencumbered free fall of chips into a chip conveyor or central coolant drop. Additionally the machining enclosure is free of any wire harnesses, cable ...
