(Charlottesville, VA), has acquired VMIC (Huntsville, AL), a manufacturer of single-board PC computers (CPUs), communications and reflective memory networks, SCSI host adapters, gigabit Ethernet, and data acquisition and control products. VMIC, which serves industrial automation, telecom, defense, medical, and test and measurement segments with open-architecture buses including CompactPCl, VMEbus, PClbus, PMC, PC-MIP, and PC 104 plus, will continue its focus on the embedded computer industry.
