Mr. Smooth glides up the court, surveys the defense and calmly signals the play. Guarding him is Jason Williams, the best there is--but not on this night. Eighteen-year-old Cedric Bozeman, poised and, to use his favorite word, solid, lulls Williams into a state of relax, then uncoils his beautiful 6-6 frame, a gift from the basketball gods, with such explosive force that Williams feels only the breeze as he blows on by. Bozeman is deep into the lane when he dishes to an upperclassman--which one hardly matters--for another two points.

Step aside, Duke. The UCLA Bruins are back. Young Ced, doing only his part, has helped to make it so.
