SEOUL, Dec 3 Asia Pulse - Deputy Prime Minister Jin Nyum said Monday the government will not offer additional public funds to ailing financial institutions.

"We have no plan to form additional public funds," Jin said in an interview with an MBC radio program. "Banks will have to handle any problems with their own profits because banks have improved their soundness with the ratio of bad loans to assets expected to fall below 5 per cent by yearend."
