SYDNEY, Nov 30 Asia Pulse - The Australian stock market closed in positive territory today, despite a late retreat by the major banks.
Trading was also partially affected by the first phase of the free float reweightings in the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) equity indices, which helped boost volumes.
The benchmark ASX/S&P 200 closed 7.9 points higher at 3337.4, while the all ordinaries finished 9.4 points stronger at 3276.9.
The all resources index added 20.2 points to 1489.3 and the all industrials jumped 6.2 points to 5626.3.
