MANILA, Sept 3 Asia Pulse - The Philippines Investment Coordination Committee (ICC) Cabinet Committee has approved a new expressway to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila.
The Manila International Airport Access Improvement Project (MIAAIP) has been approved by the committee.
The 9.76-billion pesos ($US191.7 million), two-phase project involves building a 6.2km elevated structure to provide an alternative expressway linking Fort Bonifacio and NAIA Terminals 1,2 and 3, and terminating at Roxas Boulevard.
The first phase will involve the construction of a 1 km road linking Fort Bonifacio to Sales road from the Skyway/Nichols interchange, and a 1.8 km road linking Sales road to NAIA Terminal 3.
