ISLAMABAD, Sept 3 Asia Pulse - Pakistan and Syria have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance mutual co-operation in railways and shipping sectors in Damascus.

Minister for Communication Jawed Ashraf Qazi from Pakistan and Engineer Mukarram Ubaid, Minister for Transport for Syria, signed the memorandum. Pakistan will extend its support in rehabilitating the Syrian railway system by improving the existing rail tracks and building new ones.

Pakistan will provide technicians and experts on railways system. It would also support Syria ...
