TAIPEI, Sept 3 Asia Pulse - Administrative reports submitted Friday to the Legislative Yuan indicate that the government plans to increase spending on electronics and information warfare programs to strengthen the ability of the armed forces to defend Taiwan from such high-tech attacks.
According to the written reports, the Taiwan Armed Forces are in the process of building a precision, speedy and total C4ISR (command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) network while developing the necessary technology for information warfare in cooperation with private sector know-how.
The report pointed out that the military will also build a "communication security defense network" that will work with specialized electronics warfare units in the armed forces to boost the military's ability to intercept any possible future electronics attacks.
