THE SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST
- A battle has broken out for Hong Kong's lucrative public-transport advertising market, with infotainment service provider Mobile Media taking on the MTR Corp and newly listed RoadShow Holdings.
- Thematic television operator Sun Television Cybernetworks Holdings is expecting to break even this year with revenue likely to reach HK$200 million, according to executive chairman Bruno Wu Zheng.
- Free-to-air operator Television Broadcasts is expected to report advertising revenue rising only about 2 per cent, as moribund conditions take their first-half toll.
- Interim profit at Hysan Development is expected to slump more than 50 per cent, year on year, to less than HK$300 million.
- Asian airlines on the Australian route soon must contend with a discount carrier to be launched by Qantas Airways in the middle of next year.
