KOLKATA, Sep 3 Asia Pulse - Eveready Industries India Limited (EIIL) has said it will restructure its debts and approach financial institutions and banks to reduce interest rates on various types of loans.

"We will approach the institutions to extend a moratorium on loans and extension of repayment schedule," EEIL vice-chairman Deepak Khaitan told reporters after the company's annual general meeting.

"We will also sell out all our tea estates in Dooars," he said. The proceeds will help in reducing the debt burden.
