TOKYO, Aug. 31 PRNewswire Asia-AsiaNet - Crosswave Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: CWCI) ("Crosswave") will set new charges for users of the local access lines of the power-related regional new common carriers, ("NCCs") spanning all of Japan, effective September 1, 2001.
The power-related regional NCCs are HOTnet (Hokkaido Telecommunication Network Co., Inc), TOHKnet (Tohoku Intelligent Telecommunication Co., Inc.), TTNet (Tokyo Telecommunication Network Co., Inc.), HTNet (Hokuriku Telecommunication Network Co., Ltd.), CTC (Chubu Telecommunications Co., Inc.), OMP (Osaka Media Port Corporation), CTNet (Chugoku Telecommunication Network Co., Inc.), STNet (Shikoku Information & Telecommunication Network Co., Inc.) and QTNet (Kyushu Telecommunication Network Co., Inc.
"This is a result of Crosswave's acquisition of the right to set local access charges for the power-related NCCs.
"These new charges are in conjunction with the recently announced pricing schedule for users of local access lines of NTT East and NTT West," said Akio Onishi, CEO of Crosswave.
"Customers using the power-related NCCs' lines can now enjoy Crosswave's new pricing when subscribing to services such as the Wide-area Ethernet Platform Service.
"Crosswave continues to expands its service offerings to meet customer demands as they strengthen their data communications networks."
