SYDNEY, Aug 31 Asia Pulse - Australian retail trade rose 1 per cent, the eighth rise in nine months and recorded its second consecutive rise of one per cent or higher in July, suggesting the domestic economy is continuing to perform well.
Data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed retail trade up 1.0 per cent, seasonally adjusted, down against the 1.2 per cent rise in June but still well above expectations of a flat result.
