MANATEE COUNTY -- Radiant Power Corp. is finally on its own.
The company had been sharing space in Palmetto with its former sister company, Trilectron Industries. Then in March, after the sale of Trilectron by Radiant's parent, HEICO Corp. of Miami, Radiant moved to south Manatee County's Parkland Center.
That move split the electronics maker between two buildings, but what Radiant lost in convenience, it has made up for in size.
The shift has more than doubled the company's 5,500 square feet, and it allows room for future expansion. "Our new facilities have really given us the room to grow," President Bob Mylott said.
Radiant has done more than add square footage. The 50-employee company, which makes backup power systems and battery packs for commercial aircraft, is increasing its revenues, too.
