Santa Ana- First American Corp. has made two new senior level appointments to its ranks. Kenneth D. DeGiorgio has been named as vice president and associate general counsel and Linda L. Saunders has been named as vice president and national director of the company's affiliated business ventures.

Mr. DeGiorgio's responsibilities will include serving as the company's acquisition counsel. Working with a small team of the company's officers, he will negotiate and establish contract relationships with companies that are the subject of acquisition by the company. He will also advise the company on its securities matters. In addition, Mr. DeGiorgio's will also manage the company's national political action efforts and serve as chief privacy officer. He will also retain his prior position as vice president of First American Title Insurance Co.

Ms. Saunders will manage a team responsible for identifying and forming business alliances with companies offering services that utilize or complement First American's title, real estate and consumer information products and services. She will establish executive-level contacts with prospective partners, manage the roll out of joint ventures and maintain an ongoing relationship with each company.

Torrance- Imperial Credit Industries Inc. has announced the appointment of Michael McGuire as a member of its board of directors. He is currently also the chief executive officer of Affinity Bank, whose primary lending programs are focused of providing financing for multifamily and commercial real estate properties.

ILLINOIS

Northbrook- LOGS Financial Services Inc., a provider of default management solutions, has announced the promotion of Michael C. Barron to vice president and general counsel. He will be responsible for the legal division, which monitors and manages a nationwide network of law firms, trustee companies and title agencies serving the company's mortgage industry clients. Mr. Barron joined LOGS last year.
