MSTD Inc., an application service provider for the residential mortgage servicing and unsecured credit industries, has now gone online with its BackInTheBlack collections and loss mitigation product.
Resource Bancshares Mortgage Group Inc., a Columbia, S.C.-based mortgage banker and servicer, is the first to use the product through the Web.
RBMG is currently in a 30-day testing phase of the product.
RBMG intends to roll out BITB in a slow, progressive manner to its borrowers and business relations, including foreclosure attorneys and credit counseling agencies, according to Wendy Seidelson, customer relations manager of RBMG.
The company is currently solely using BITB for its contact with borrowers who have gone 30 days delinquent.
Ms. Seidelson commented, "It's a very good scripting software. It keeps us compliant with FHA, VA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (and private mortgage insurance companies) guidelines as far as talking with the borrowers.
"Anytime they are in a delinquent or default situation, we can now maximize the conversation at the initial point of contact and go from there."
