   A cat was sitting on his head she said, 
   A black cat on his head and that was that. 
   The cat was like a hat and on his head. 
   He could not see the roundabout for cat, 
 
   She said. The hat she thought was on his head 
   Was actually a cat. His head was bald 
   With nothing on it but the hat she said, 
   Except it was a cat. She was appalled. 
 
   He told the magistrate his head was bare, 
   As bare as bald, he had no cat on top. 
   He said he saw the roundabout was there 
   Though he agreed that he had failed to stop.
