Companies Building Portals with WebSphere Software

Inktomi Corp. (Nasdaq:INKT), developer of scalable network infrastructure software, today announced it has signed an agreement with IBM to integrate Inktomi(R) Enterprise Search with IBM's WebSphere Portal Server. The relationship with IBM leverages Inktomi's award-winning search technology and IBM's software for building next generation portals, providing enterprises with a powerful solution for easily accessing mission-critical corporate information.

"Working with Inktomi enables IBM WebSphere Portal customers to more easily integrate with a leading enterprise search solution already in use by thousands of companies worldwide," said Larry Bowden, vice president, e-portals solutions, IBM. "This agreement reinforces our commitment to reduce the integration time required for critical third-party applications such as enterprise search."
