An Albuquerque Public Schools selection committee has named two finalists to fill its District 7 board opening.
The candidates are Douglas E. Mitchell and David Garrett.
Mitchell is a juvenile justice consultant for Bernalillo County and retired juvenile justice division director for the state Children, Youth and Families Department.
Garrett is an assistant vice president of investments with Garrett/ Milliman Wealth Management Group of Wachovia Securities.
Others who applied for the seat were Silvio G. Dell'Angela, Thomas F. Ehrhorn, Kathy Frazier and Arthur B. Cordova.
