Investment in venture firms plummets.

By Lee Joo-hee Staff reporter The size of investment in venture companies by major venture capital firms dropped to the lowest level ever in the third quarter, industry sources said yesterday.

According to industry data, the four largest venture capital companies - KTBnetwork Co., KDB Capital, Korea Technology Investment Corp. (KTIC) and Muhan Investment Co. - made combined investments of 47.1 billion won ($38 million) during the third quarter this year.

The figure represented the smallest quarterly investment volume since 2000 when venture investment peaked. The figure was also a 57.7 percent decline from the same quarter …
