Interviewing the CEO of a major corporation can be a tad intimidating. As a trade magazine journalist, I've had a few knot-in-the-stomach-inducing interviews. Heck, just getting the interview can be nerve-wracking. My colleagues from a food magazine job early in my career still enjoy reminding me of the time I got so flustered calling to set up an interview with Dick Knowlton, then president of Hormel Foods, that I asked to speak to "Mr. Hormel." Yikes! Talk about embarrassing.
