Q Are there any soft extended-wear options for multifocal contact lens wearers?

A Hyperpermeable soft contact lens materials give patients unparalleled levels of safety and comfort, and in many cases the convenience of wearing contact lenses continuously for up to 30 days. "For patients with presbyopia, however, these materials are not currently available in multi-focal designs," says Joseph Studebaker, O.D., of Northwest Optometry in Englewood, Ohio.
