A man was shot in the leg yesterday in Matayos market near Busia town as police dispersed rowdy Narc supporters protesting against the outcome of the Nambale seat election.

Mr Philip Ondungu, 24, was shot near his carpentry workshop in Matayos, Busia Town, when the police and crowds engaged in running battles.

Local police boss Richard Kerich said the man was taken to the Busia District Hospital where he was admitted.
