In a major move towards boosting bilateral economic cooperation, India and Thailand today agreed to create a free trade area at the earliest. The two countries also decided to establish within two years a road link through Myanmar [Burma]. Prime Minister Vajpayee said this while speaking to reporters after having wide-ranging talks with his Thai counterpart, Thaksin Shinawatra, during a three-hour halt in Bangkok.
