A free trade pact between Singapore and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) states of Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland will come into effect Wednesday, the trade ministry here said.
"The EFTA-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (ESFTA) will enter into force tomorrow, 1 January 2003. All Parties have completed the necessary ratification processes," the ministry said in a statement Tuesday.
